1. What is the Autodesk Certification Program?

The Autodesk Certification program enables experienced users to receive special recognition for their knowledge of a specific Autodesk software application. Autodesk provides a complete certification solution; including assessment tests, Autodesk Official Authorized Training Courseware for preparation, practice test for 2010 professional level exam, and Certification exams for validating your knowledge and skills.

2. Who should attempt Certification?

The Certification credentials are for anyone seeking to validate their knowledge of Autodesk software. The design and visualization industries are competitive environments, where only the best stand out. Anyone who uses Autodesk software for professional reasons can benefit from the program by emphasizing their skills and knowledge with an official certification from Autodesk. An individual who has achieved Autodesk Certification has validated their knowledge and skills of the performance tasks specified for the specific examination.

3. What Autodesk products are Certification exams available for?

Autodesk offers certification exams for AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, Revit Architectur, Autodesk maya, Autodesk 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design.

4. Where is Autodesk Certification available?

Autodesk Certification is available in almost all countries including India. We will continue to make certification available in more countries in the coming year.

5. What score must I obtain to pass a certification examination?

The passing score varies by certification examination. Please refer to information about a specific certification examination to determine the passing score. These can be found at http://www.autodesk.com/certification.

6. What happens if I do not pass?

If you do not pass, you will receive a Diagnostic Score Report that indicates areas for improvement. You may then retake the examination after 7 days. You can take the examination three times a year. If you do not pass after three attempts, you must wait until one year has passed from the first attempt before retaking an examination.

7. Once granted, does certification last forever?

Certification validates your knowledge and skills using a specific version of an Autodesk application. Although certification for a particular version of an application never expires, certification is not considered current unless you have passed the latest recertification examination, and the full examination for the prior release.

8. How do I update my 2013 Professional Certification to 2014?

If you have earned a 2013 Professional certification, you can update to 2014 Certified Professional by taking the 2010 Certified Associate exam.

9. Where can I take an examination?

You can take the exam at any CAD Center Satellite Center. Please see the Contact Us page to contact the center neatest to you.

10. How do I prepare for the certification examination?

For most certification examinations, CAD Center offers an Autodesk Official Training or Preparation Courseware guides. Exam Data sheets or Exam Guides provide a detailed listing of the knowledge and skills covered on the certification examination. Autodesk Courseware provides instructional lessons and exercises for the skills assessed on the examination.

11. What do I receive when I become certified?

When you obtain Autodesk Certification status you obtain the right to use the official Autodesk Certified logo in marketing your Autodesk skills (on business cards, websites and Résumés) as specified in the logo usage guidelines. You also have access to your electronic Certificate, and if you choose (when establishing or modifying your candidate profile), you may request your certification results be available in the Certified Users database. You will need to log in to your profile to view your certification history and access your score reports, certificates, and any associated certification logos.
